Those who use Instagram are already used to seeing influencers, brands or even ordinary users who post a multitude of stories. In some cases, even the top bar, which shows the time interval, becomes a dotted line given the collection of contents.
And the platform, it seems, is looking for a way to deal with the situation. She is testing a feature that only shows the three initial stories, a kind of tasting, and signals that, if there is interest, more content can be viewed. Otherwise, the user can proceed to the subsequent profile content.
Sought by PROPMARK, the company reported that “this feature is in an early stage of development and being tested with a small percentage of people on the platform. We currently have no release plans to share, but we will let you know of any updates.”
The update can be interesting so that users have access to more profiles and diverse content or so they don’t have to tap the screen several times to skip stories.
But, from a communication point of view, they should have an impact on the brands’ marketing strategies on the social network – and potentially on Facebook, in a second moment – and also on the metrics of digital influencers. In both cases, when the resource is adopted, the numbers tend to register a reduction.
