The premiere of a new series directed by João Daniel Tikhomiroff and consultancy by Washington Olivetto and Eco Moliterno will arrive tomorrow (24) on HBO that will recall the most iconic moments of advertising in Brazil over the decades.
The episodes will involve subject matter experts such as Fernando Meirelles, Carlos Moreno, José Bonifácio de Oliveira, Roberto Dualibi, Ricardo Freire, Silvio de Abreu and more.
The story will go back to the poster girls in live programs until the arrival and consolidation of the internet, in addition to issues that marked the history of Brazil as a lack of initial resources, censorship at the time of the military dictatorship, extravagance of the 80s, classic catchphrases and jingles from the 90s and how quickly things changed with the arrival of the internet in the 2000s.
“It’s not Brastemp” is one of the classic cases to be addressed in the new series, a phrase that has become consolidated in Brazilian culture when something doesn’t reach the expected levels of quality.
For streaming subscribers, HBO will make four out of five episodes available on its HBO Max platform starting Wednesday.
