Last night, December 9th, this year’s The Game Awards finally took place. The award, also known as the TGA, celebrates the best in the video game world of the year. The voting that decides the winners is made from a combination of popular votes and chosen experts.
The biggest highlight of the night among the nominees is, as expected, the award for best game of the year, called GOTY (Game of the Year). The trophy ended up going to It Takes Two, a co-op game produced by Hazelight Studios in partnership with EA that trumped major productions like Resident Evil Vilage and Metroit Dead.
The production follows a couple who are getting divorced and, as a result, hurting their daughter with their fights. In an unexpected event, the two end up becoming puppets and have to face obstacles together, inspired by domestic environments.
