Pinterest Trend Badge, a new trend-based ad solution that allows brands to reach consumers with more inspiring content when considering which ideas to try and which products to buy, has just launched in Brazil. Samsung Brazil is the first brand to use this trending program in the country, positioning the company’s new line of folding smartphones, Z Flip and Z Fold.
Pinterest trends have always been a strategic way for brands to explore the key themes and ideas that users are looking for during key times. In fact, users always come to Pinterest before they shop, and 8 out of 10 say the platform is a great place to find gift ideas.
With the Pinterest Trend Badge, advertisers have the opportunity to own a specific trend on Pinterest, standing out as authority and a “stamp of approval” as the only brand to have Trend Badges Pins for the idea in that country.
For the campaign, Samsung was inspired by Pinterest’s trend towards “elegant chic style”, which saw a 5,600-fold increase in searches in Brazil (year after year, data from October 2021). The brand chose to create the campaign based on this insight, as it aligns with how folding smartphones can bring style to their user. The campaign has been running since the beginning of November and ends next week, on December 15th.
