Sony is working on a series Horizon Zero Dawn with Netflix, according to a report by Japanese technology and software analyst David Gibson. The news comes on the same day that Sony Pictures presented its 2022 business segment briefing, although the game series is not mentioned in the filing documents.
The Horizon Zero Dawn series with Netflix would join many other PlayStation franchises that Sony is currently developing as series or movies across multiple streaming platforms and networks. Among the most notable are the God of War series, which will likely make its way to Amazon Prime Video, as well as a series Grand Touring which is under development.
Sony previously announced a moviede Ghost of Tsushimawhich will be written by Chad Stehelski. There is also a seriesTwisted Metalin development, with a cast that includes Anthony Mackie, Neve Campbell and Stephanie Beatriz, although the series does not yet have a release date.
The most advanced of all Sony’s current projects is probably HBO’s adaptation of The Last of Us which will star Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) e Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones), and is being created by Craig Mazin (Chernobyl). The Last of Us TV series doesn’t yet have a trailer or release date, but it should come out sometime in 2023.
