In a statement, 29Horas Mídia Aeroportuária reported that it had already taken steps to ‘stop the illegal action of hackers’.
At least one OOH panel, under the responsibility of 29Horas Mídia Airport, was invaded by hackers, who took down the advertisements and information to instead show pornographic films.
The attack took place this Friday on a totem pole at Santos Dumont airport, in Rio de Janeiro.
In a statement, 29Horas reported that all the necessary technical measures were taken to ‘stop the illegal action of hackers’. Also according to the out of home media company, criminals broke into the display system of only one totem.
“According to what has been learned so far, the illegal action was carried out locally and exclusively on a single totem installed at this airport, violating all security protocols for the transmission of digital media, adopted by 29Horas since the beginning of its operations,” the company said.
Infraero, in turn, said it registered a report and reported it to the Federal Police.
