Soap opera director Marcelo Travesso has a legacy of 30 years at Rede Globo, and now announces his definitive departure. His last work was in the soap opera Salve-se Quem Puder, which had its exhibition interrupted in March 2020 with the outbreak of Covid-19.
The news was given by the newspaper O Globo this Tuesday (31) and according to the journalists, the decision was taken by a common agreement. According to Notícias da TV, Marcelo now says that he will focus on writing a new project that started during the pandemic. It is a film that shows the story of a man who loses everything and starts walking the streets of São Paulo because he cannot sleep.
In its history, Travesso has works such as the novels A Próxima Victim (1995), O Clone (2001), Mulheres Apaixonadas (2003) and Império (2014). He started at Globo with the episodes of “Você Decide”, in 1992.
