Sunscreen brand Australian Gold focused on preserving marine life in its summer campaign. The brand reinforces its sun protection position and promotes awareness regarding coral bleaching, a phenomenon that causes the death of these animals.
Essential for marine life, corals have been suffering degradation due to climate change and overfishing. Another risk factor is the accumulation of sunscreen in the ocean. To reduce this environmental impact, the brand claims that last year it launched a line of sunscreens with a tested and safe formula for corals.
Based on the concept “Protege Você, Protege Os Corais”, conceived by AlmapBBDO, an action promoted engagement on social networks. Celebrities and influencers simultaneously published photos without color and later revealed that this was an action to raise awareness about the bleaching and death of corals.
The digital campaign has films starring brand ambassadors Maya Gabeira, Letícia Bufoni, Mari Gonzalez, Fernando Fernandes, in addition to model Raíssa Santana and influencer Mari Lobo.
