Arrival and promotion at GUT, reinforcement for the production directors team, and new head in advertiser
May ended and June started this week with hiring and promotions at agencies, news in advertisers and reinforcement for the production scene directors team. GUT SP announced Rapha Borges, ex-Africa, as the new occupant of the agency’s creative director position.
The creative has almost 15 years of career, and collects passages by WMcCann, Ogilvy and McGarryBowen. Other news, Mellina Fontoura and Paula Keller were promoted to associate creative directors. Previously, the creatives served as Senior Art Director and Senior Writer respectively.
R/GA introduced Juliana Amorim as the new HR director, responsible for leading a team of nine people. Among the challenges of the executive will be to strengthen the recruitment area and develop employee management.
On the producers’ side, the main novelty of the week was the arrival of Rodrigo Rebouças in the Ultravioleta scene director team. Rebouças has filmed documentaries in different locations around the world, such as Guinea Bissau, Mexico, Senegal, Argentina and the Amazon.

GSK Consumer Healthcare (CH) hired Mariana Lucena to be head of corporate relations for its Latin American operation. Mariana takes over during the process of separating GSK’s Pharmaceuticals and Consumer divisions into two independent companies.
In her new role, she will contribute to boosting and protecting the reputation of the new consumer company – to be renamed Haleon after the breakup – as well as developing Advocacy plans and public policy agenda to support the Business’s objectives.
Motul
French multinational specialized in lubricants, Motul has a new leadership in Brazil. After a 17-year stint at Pirelli, Argentine Mariano Perez now responds as general manager of the company’s Brazilian branch.
Graduated in Marketing from Universidad del Salvador (USAL), in Buenos Aires (ARG), and with a specialization in Project Management and Execution from Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing (ESPM), the executive has 20 years of experience in the automotive industry.
Perez intends to continue Motul’s strategy, which involves diversifying its product portfolio, expanding closer ties with consumers and raising national production to 50% in 2022.

BTO+ hired Alisson Nascimento, Brunna Guedes and Fernanda Cardamone to be, respectively, account executive, creative writer and customer service manager. Suvinil, Panasonic, Claro, Hugo Boss and BrasilPrev are among the companies served by Alisson over six years.
Bruna worked at Bubble Digital (Content Coordinator) and RS Press (Marketing Analyst), and Fernanda Cardamone led projects for Rock in Rio, Samsung, AstraZeneca, Banco Pan.

NEO expanded its team of commercial executives in the Customer Experience business unit. The company hired Giuliana Reis, who comes from players in the airline and tourism sectors. Giuliana’s main challenge will be to lead prospecting, service and customer experience strategies in the commercial aviation market, tourism and other areas.
