In an interview with the YouTube channel Cara a Tapa this Saturday (4), Bruno Aiub, better known on the internet as Monark, admitted to having regretted his apology after releasing Nazi lines on his podcast at the time.
Monark was fired from the Flow Podcast in February after he advocated the creation of Nazi parties as a way to enrich free speech in the country.
“It wasn’t smart of me to apologize. I think I should have kept quiet. The problem with when you apologize is that you validate the narrative that you did what you were accused of, even if it wasn’t true.”
“I apologized for the way I delivered this idea to the public, I could have done a better job. I felt like I had to apologize because of the pressure and also because I faltered in the way I expressed myself.”
After the incident, Flow lost several sponsors. Monark’s speech took place in a participation by federal deputies Tabata Amaral (PSB-SP) and Kim Kataguiri (DEM-SP), where the influencer stated: “If a guy wanted to be anti-Jewish, I think he had the right to be. Will you kill who is anti-Jew? He’s not being anti-life, he doesn’t like ideals.”
The moment generated great controversy on the internet and an official apology from Flow to the Jewish community. Monark then decided to take a break from networking and recently returned to continue voicing his views.
