Initiative seeks to encourage the preservation of marine fauna and flora
In action for World Oceans Day, PAD – in partnership with the Urban Arts gallery and the Mar Adentro institute – promotes actions to generate knowledge and initiatives to protect aquatic ecosystems. The company opens its first open-air exhibition in celebration of the Month of the Oceans, celebrated in June.
The initiative will transform more than 20 digital panels, especially newsstands, into spaces for the exhibition of artistic works that extol the marine fauna and flora, especially those linked to the city, which has a strong connection with the sea.
On the canvases, works ranging from illustrations to photographs produced by artists represented by Urban Arts and also by researchers and collaborators of the Ilhas do Rio Project, carried out by Instituto Mar Adentro, will be displayed.
“We have in our DNA the desire to make a difference in the daily lives of the cities where we operate, helping to create a more conscious future. And there is nothing better than using our assets, which are the media screens on city streets, to pass on positive messages such as those that exalt the beauties of the oceans and talk about the importance of preserving them”, highlights Felipe Davis, partner and co-CEO of PAD
In addition to the exhibition of images, the public will be able to purchase the works of art that are part of the exhibition by interacting directly with the screens. Through QR Codes, it will be possible to access the pages of each work by Urban Arts artists and buy them in the size and format you prefer. A similar action will also be possible with the images belonging to the Mar Adentro, indicating interest in acquiring the photos of the project.
