PicPay users can now purchase Nintendo Credits through the PicPay Store with 8% cashback. New customers get 20% money back on their first purchase, limited to R$50, on transactions over R$150. The partnership is made through BlackHawk Network, a company that enables the sale of Gift Cards da Nintendo.
Os Gift Cards for Nintendo eShop are available in amounts between R$50 and R$300 and can be redeemed on Nintendo Switch. Offer is valid for credit card or balance payments.
With the inclusion, Nintendo joins the main players in the games market that are already available on the PicPay Store. The initiative shows the importance of the gamer audience for PicPay. Revenue from the online games category is the second most important for the Store.
Gift Cards games are some of the so-called digital goods (or digital goods, in English) sold on the PicPay Store. Other examples are vouchers for delivery and transport applications, credits for streaming services, cell phone recharge, among others.
Purchases of these digital goods grew by 160% last year, with more than 14 million transactions throughout the year. The food delivery and games categories concentrate 44% of these sales.
