The event, which will take place at Fábrica de Cultura Brasilândia, an institution of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the Government of the State of São Paulo managed by Poiesis, is free and aims to promote pop, nerd and geek culture in the outskirts of São Paulo. .
Within the program of the second edition of the event, panels with tables, exhibitions and debates are planned, as well as a cosplay contest, Arena Gamer and Beco dos Artistas.
“For us, it is very important to come back with our physical PerifaCon event because, in addition to everything else, the periphery and the culture sector were some of the ones that suffered the most from the lack of public policies and a more humanized look at favela residents. , this resumption is also a movement to reaffirm our commitment to the democratization of nerd, geek and favela culture”, said Andreza Delgado, one of the organizers of the event.
The event will follow all general safety and health protocols and recommendations, in addition to being necessary to present proof of vaccination of at least two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and mandatory use of a mask.
More information on public notices will soon be released for those who wish to exhibit, sell, cover the event, participate in the cosplay contest or volunteer.
