The MTV MIAW (Millenial Awards) is a Brazilian award that was created in 2018. Millennials, that is, millennials or generation Y, are formed who were born after the beginning of the 80’s until approximately 1995. Basically, they were the first to be born in a globalized world full of technological advances and novelties.
Starting today, Thursday, June 23, voting is available and open, and can be done via the official website, Instagram and Twitter.
There are thirty-five categories in total, but the biggest award of all (and the most desired) is the MIAW Icon, which has these nominees: Gloria Groove, Casimiro, Anitta, GKay, Pabllo Vittar, Paulo André, Mano Brown and Linn from Quebrada. So, do you already know who to vote for or are you part of the undecided team too? Those who identify with the second option should already think carefully about which artist to choose, because 35 categories is no small feat.
In this year’s edition, 12 new categories became part of the event: Black Star Rising by BET, Creator Supremo, Dupla de Milhões, From Brasil!, Gaming Heroes, Karaoke Anthem, ¡Me Gusta!, Meme Master, MIAW Fashion, MIAW Futebol Clube, Health is ok and Come Ni Mim.
To carry out the voting via the website, you can vote for whoever you want as many times as you want. However, using Instagram and Twitter, it is already a little different. On Insta, it is necessary to comment on posts using the different hashtags. For example, #PremiosMTVMIAW and the hashtag you want to vote for. Let’s suppose it’s in the category “Marathon for you!” and you want to vote for Eleven, Millie Bobby Brown. In this case, it would look like this: #MTVMIAWMARATONIELEVEN. On Twitter, you need to tweet or retweet a tweet that contains the official hashtags and that’s it! It’s that simple.
The event does not yet have an official date, but on the social networks of MTV itself and, of course, of MTV MIAW, the news of the awards are being updated. Don’t miss out!
