In addition to the campaign, the agency will also create a Diversity and Inclusion Committee
Escala launched a pro bono campaign project aimed at companies that are founded by LGBTQIAP+ people.
With the motto “If you are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, Escala wants to support your company”, the project aims to help small companies to develop in terms of communication and positioning, reinforcing the presence and brand perception among the LGBTQIA+ public and reaching new niches of dissemination.
“We want to use our privilege to give more visibility and encourage the work of smaller companies that are allied to the LGBTQIA+ cause,” said João Brasbie, Head of Content at Escala and creator of the campaign, who identifies as a gay man.
The project is part of a set of initiatives promoted by the agency throughout the month of Pride LGBTQIAP+ which, in addition to the campaign, will also create a Diversity and Inclusion Committee, with the aim of ensuring diversity both in the internal culture and in the works delivered. to customers.
During the first year, the Committee will unfold content and events based on the LGBTQIA+ theme, and the next two years will continue, respectively, with the themes “Gender and Race” and “PCD and Ageism”.
In addition to the actions, the agency aims to increase gender and racial diversity in 2022. Hiring for affirmative action will be carried out based on data from the Diversity Census, another resolution of the agency to understand the current scenario and apply the new policies of inclusion in the company’s staff, in addition to bringing these results to Escala’s social networks.
According to Brasbie, the implementation of these actions should collaborate not only to raise awareness, but also to build and provide safer and more comfortable environments. “This has a direct impact on the quality of work, on the creativity of professionals and on the feeling of belonging. We want to reinforce our culture and promote a space where people feel free to live their truth,” she added.
Companies interested in participating in the pro bono campaign can present themselves as clients for the project until July 28, 2022, by submitting their application through the form and the Scale Diversity and Inclusion Committee will be responsible for selecting a company that will have the agency’s support in communicating and promoting the brand.
