With a quarterly renewal, the audiostreaming platform intends to select between 2 and 3 podcasters from each of the 15 countries that are part of this expansion.
Spotify announced the expansion of Radar, a program created in 2020 to support rising artists on the platform, to a new audience, podcasters. The new version proposes to offer opportunities to creators both in editorial and in content promotion, with support in marketing and social network strategies.
With a quarterly renewal of the chosen ones, the audiostreaming platform intends to select between 2 and 3 podcasters from each of the 15 countries that are part of this Radar expansion. Content creators must use Anchor, Spotify’s proprietary content creation system.
“RADAR Podcasters is unique in that it not only motivates creators to keep producing, but also unlocks the tools that we as a platform can provide. Spotify has a dedicated space to help creators be discovered, inspired and learn from other creators. “, said Brianne O’Brien, Editorial Lead at Podcast.
For the launch, it selected 40 professionals from countries such as the United States, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Colombia, India, France, Argentina, Chile and Japan.
Brazil is represented by three projects: “Coisas Anyqueres”, about pop culture, the LGBT community and the arts; “Open Diary”, about valuable learning – or not – in the face of everyday situations; and “Lança a Braba”, which features interviews in sharp conversations on various topics.
The contents can now be accessed on the local playlist “Radar Podcasters Brasil”, which is also part of the package of benefits that Spotify promises to deliver to selected podcasts.
