Agencies will have until July 31 to submit their pieces
El Ojo de Iberoamérica announced the opening of online registration for this year’s edition, which will be held in person again after two years. The event, which will take place between November 9 and 11 at the La Rural Convention Center, in Palermo, in the city of Buenos Aires, also marks the 25th anniversary of the festival, which has become one of the most important in the region. Agencies will have until July 31 to submit their pieces.
For this year’s edition, which also brings together an environment of conferences, workshops and recognitions, the organization made a series of updates on the awards and categories it presents to dialogue with the scenario of transformations that the communication industry is going through.
The New Technologies and Immersive Realities category, for example, was added to the El Ojo Digital & Social, El Ojo Media, El Ojo Direct, El Ojo Brand Experience & Activation and El Ojo Content awards.
In addition, El Ojo Rádio was renamed El Ojo Rádio & Audio, in line with the growth of audio platforms; El Ojo Sustentável, which celebrates ideas that impact the world, was awarded the Gender and Diversity category; and El Ojo Mídia added four new categories, Platforms in Social Networks and Digital Platforms (previously united), New Technologies and Immersive Realities.
The other changes were in El Ojo PR, with two new categories, Internal Communication and Events and Sponsorships; El Ojo Innovation, with Experience and Brand Strategy; El Ojo Creative Data, with Research and Data Integration; and also with El OJo + Women, a special award with which the festival seeks to encourage the representation of creative teams. In this case, participation is free and free of charge for the pieces registered in any of the different awards of the edition and that present women in relevant positions in the technical file.
