Ricky Martin always gave me the image of a good guy, hardworking and good-natured. I even saw him on Broadway playing Che Guevara in a production of Evita. He was the best thing about that montage. I also remember when he was the Spanish teacher in an episode of Glee. And also in the second season of American Crime Story: The Murder of Gianni Versace. But now a very strange story has come to light. This is an allegation of domestic abuse in a lawsuit that runs in Puerto Rico, the singer’s birthplace.
Representatives for Ricky Martin went public to deny all the allegations, which even led to a restraining order. That is, he cannot approach the people who are suing him. Her identity is kept secret under local law. Local newspaper El Vocero said it would be a person with whom the actor had a relationship for seven months. Also according to El Vocero, Martin would have refused to accept the end of the relationship for two months. And he would have been seen near the accuser’s house. Puerto Rico police reportedly tried to deliver the restraining order to Ricky Martin, but could not find him. A police spokesman told the Associated Press that a judge has yet to decide whether to maintain order or not.
Representatives for Ricky Martin sent a statement to People magazine denying everything. “The allegations against Ricky Martin that led to a restraining order are completely false and fabricated. We are confident that when the real facts come out, our client Ricky Martin will be fully exonerated.”

Either way, this has not been a good week for the star. We also learned that his former agent, Rebecca Drucker, is suing him for $3 million in unpaid commissions. She worked for Ricky Martin in two different periods. The first from 2014 to 2018 and the other from 2020 to 2022. Rebecca’s lawyers even provided a 15-page document to support the claim.
