Good Measures will provide brands with comprehensive insight into the current sustainability rating and guidance for improvement.
Farfetch and Good On You announced the launch of Good Measuresa sustainability hub for the fashion industry.
The online hub will provide brands with a comprehensive overview of the current sustainability rating and guidance for improvement, as well as making personalized suggestions for key actions that can improve sustainability performance according to the specifics of each business.
Good Measures is based on industry-leading brand ratings from Good On You, which ranks fashion brands based on their impacts on people, planet and animals, gathering over 500 data points including standards and certifications, third-party indices (such as the Fashion Transparency Index and the CDP Climate Change and Water Security projects) and public reports from the brands themselves.
“Good Measures is not about reinventing the theme. It’s about bringing the fashion industry together and providing a unified and authoritative view of sustainability knowledge for brands. By helping labels be more transparent about their progress, we empower consumers to make better choices,” said Sandra Capponi, co-founder of Good On You.
With the hub, brands will be able to dig deeper into what is driving their current rankings on top fashion sustainability issues, get guidance on how to progress, connect with expert organizations that can offer help, and submit publicly disclosed information about their performance, that allow them to be rated or re-rated by Good On You.
According to Farfetch’s Conscious Luxury 2022 report, sales of Conscious products on the platform grew 1.8 times faster than the market average in 2021.
“Our recent Conscious Luxury 2022 report highlights the rapidly increasing consumer interest in Conscious products, and Good Measures will help our brand partners become more sustainable and capitalize on these positive consumer demands,” added Thomas Berry, Senior Director of Business. Farfetch Sustainables.
Good Measures is available free of charge to all Farfecth brand partners and will be publicly released to the entire fashion industry later this year.
