Although each culture has its own recipe for making its fries, none of them puts the following statement into question: fries need to be accompanied by sauce, and a lot, preferably. This is what a global study led by Heinz indicates, which revealed that nine out of ten (95%) people in the world simply refuse to eat fries without sauce, or sauce without fries.
The survey also showed that 84% of sauce superfans often feel frustrated for not being able to get a decent amount of sauce as they want in a single fry. In order to put an end to this frustration, the agency Africa and Heinz Global came up with an innovative solution: Spoon Friez (Spoon Fries), a spoon-shaped potato with a design that allows you to easily get more ketchup or mayonnaise than regular french fries.

The campaign communicating culinary innovation was launched on the “National French Fries Day”, celebrated today (13), in the United States; but is also being aired in Germany, UK, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, France, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, China and Japan.
