Under the leadership of the Amstel brand, the initiative aims to promote a safe and inclusive environment for the LGBTQIA+ community.
The Heineken Group, in partnership with the Além do Colored group, implemented name correction and offered psychological support to transgender people as a fixed benefit for the company.
With the initiative, which began with Amstel, transgender people who want to socially rectify their names will be entitled to do so with the company’s support.
“When we took the initiative to the Cultural Fair, we expected to serve 160 people, but due to the high demand, more than 800 people will have the right to carry out the process 100% funded by the Amstel brand, with more than 200 doing it at the fair itself and more than 600 are receiving the directional pads remotely to carry out the rectification within a month”, said Livia Azevedo, People and Organizational Development (POD) director of the Heineken Group.
The Heineken Group also provides SpeakUp, a whistleblower channel that guarantees investigation and confidentiality and that can be used by any employee anonymously to report any violation of the company’s Code of Conduct or situations of prejudice, discrimination and physical and moral harassment.
