Laura Maness is the sixth person to hold the position in the group’s 105-year history and the first woman
The Gray Group has announced Laura Maness as the new CEO, a position that will be held for the first time in the holding’s 105-year history by a woman. Before, the professional was at Havas New York, also as CEO for the last almost six years.
At Grupo Havas, where he stayed for more than nine years, he also worked as US Chief Growth Officer of Havas WW North America and managing director of the Chicago operation.
“As only the sixth CEO in 105 years, the opportunity to renew, galvanize and develop a legendary and celebrated agency like Gray – combined with the unparalleled caliber of talent around the world – is incredibly significant.” According to her, it intends to reinforce the agency’s culture of creativity, innovation and continuous impact.
Maness replaces Michael Houston, appointed in June as chairman of WPP, Grey’s parent company, to oversee the company’s US business.
