The Clear Skies initiative supports the company’s efforts to be more sustainable using fewer resources and generating less waste
Cetaphil announced the Clear Skies initiative, a long-term commitment to a healthier environment. With this, the company intends to reach 100% renewable electricity in its factories by the end of 2022.
The initiative comprises the pillars of reducing environmental impact, formulas with cleaner ingredients, smarter and more sustainable packaging and social impact actions.
The project supports the company’s efforts to be more sustainable using fewer resources and generating less waste, with a scientific approach based on comprehensive Greenhouse Gas Protocol research and aligned with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
We know that the health of our skin is a reflection of our environment – factors such as pollution, water quality and weather can affect the skin, especially sensitive skin. It’s time to be even more sensitive to the environment to contribute to short-term and long-term change, said Walter Geiger, director of Galderma’s global consumer business unit, which owns the Cetaphil brand.
To mark the announcement of the project in Brazil and reinforce the importance of the theme, Cetaphil sponsored the EcoRun street race, which combines sport, sustainability and care for the environment, which took place on July 10th.
