After Uber withdraws, companies will have five days to present their proposals
After Uber withdrew from sponsoring the leisure cycle lane in So Paulo, the Municipality of So Paulo should open, as of this Saturday (30), a second public notice for interested companies, which will have five days to present their proposals.
The first public notice was opened at the end of last month, however, according to today’s Official Gazette (29), the proposals presented by Agencia Coranfa TV e Publicidade Eireli and by the Associação Brasileira de Ciclomobilidade – ABC, were not accepted for lack of of information.
Also according to the publication, the Association did not present the activation costs and, since the proposals presented did not meet the requirements of the public notice, no agreement was closed.
Uber, which had the rights to the bike lane in the city of So Paulo since 2020, announced earlier this month that it would not renew its sponsorship. The contract signed between the company and the City Hall established an investment of R$ 11.5 million per year.
Even without sponsorship, the Municipality of So Paulo guaranteed that it will maintain operations on Sundays and holidays.
