The Band will be responsible for broadcasting the events on open TV
Considered one of the main international markets, Brazil will have the UFC Fight Pass available as of January 2023. The service will become the definitive platform for UFC content in the country, and will feature all live events, proprietary programming, and videos with some historic fights from the modality.
In addition, the modality also closed an agreement with Band for the distribution of selected events and original content on open TV. “Fight Pass, together with Band, will allow the UFC to have a direct relationship with fans in Brazil,” the UFC reported.
Another news is announced that the UFC will return to Brazil with a live event for the first time in almost three years, with UFC 283. The event will be on January 21, in Rio de Janeiro.
Brazil is one of our biggest markets and has produced some of the best athletes this sport has ever seen. Fight Pass will take our business to the next level, delivering all of our content directly to our fans,” said Dana White, UFC president, in promotional material.
