Porto Seguro Bank, Porto’s financial services vertical launched this year, created a credit card made from parts of Formula 1 cars, in action to activate the company’s sponsorship of the 2022 So Paulo Formula 1 Grand Prix. product hits the market in a special and limited edition.
Conceived by the REF+ agency, the project took the team to Southampton, England, where they bought certified and authenticated car parts from various teams. Back in Brazil, the material was transformed into paint for the production of the pieces.
When we first saw the idea, we knew this was what we needed to do. We put all our efforts to create a fantastic reality around the credit card and allow our customers to carry an authentic piece of a Formula 1 car in their pocket, says Luiz Arruda, VP Marketing, Customers and Data at Porto.
To publicize the product, the campaign seeks to connect the sensations and atmosphere of motorsport to the work carried out to produce the cards. There are films in media such as open and closed TV, OOH, digital and actions with influencers, between Rubinho Barrichello and Caio Castro.
“The project shows how an agency in synergy with the client’s business objectives is able to work on the ideation of a product, we certainly went far beyond communication,” adds Weverton Guedes, director of growth & innovation at REF+.
