This edition of the project has a partnership with ESPN, which will release every Monday, from today until August 22, content that shows the protagonists’ paths to become leading figures in their respective disciplines and their connections with princesses. from Disney.
The videos tell how young women struggle day by day to achieve their aspirations, showing that they are true examples of attitude, determination and overcoming, and will also be shared on Disney Princess social networks on Instagram, ESPN, and on the official Disney Brazil channel. on Youtube. Stories that inspire
Beatriz Ferreira is the first Brazilian finalist in women’s boxing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Brazilian Boxing World Champion. In the video that tells her story, she recalls her beginnings in the sport, when she was just 4 years old, and the key role her father played in her training within the discipline. Willpower and courage are striking traits in Bia’s story, which are very similar to Princess Mulan’s journey.
Alexa Moreno is one of the most outstanding gymnasts in Mexico. She placed fourth in the Horse Vault final at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Jacinta Martinez Ranceze is a multi-champion in artistic swimming and one of the biggest references in the sport for athletes with Down Syndrome in Argentina. In her video, she talks about her passion for racing, her commitment to training and her love for water, which no wonder makes her identify with Ariel from “The Little Mermaid”.
Macarena Perez, a Chilean based in California, was a BMX finalist at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. In the content, she shares her experiences as one of the few women in the discipline and how her determination and commitment led her to excel. “When they say that Pocahontas is a free soul who has been taken by the wind, I think the same thing happened to me with BMX. But it wasn’t the wind that took me, it was a bicycle”, comments Macarena.
