Spotify is launching its first own gift card sales channel, gift cards, exclusively for users in Latin America. Behind the new marketplace and operational management is the Brazilian company Todo InComm.
retailtech made the technological implementation of the online commerce of cards and is responsible for the new e-commerce of the streaming service, focused on Brazilian consumers.
It is the first Latin American account that Todo InComm has won. “This says a lot about where we want to go in the medium and long term,” says João Espíndola, general manager and startup founder specializing in gift card sales, logistics and management.
Spotify’s new sales channel strategy involves winning over new customers and a profitable market. According to the Global Gift Card Survey report, the gift card industry is expected to generate more than US$ 221 billion by 2024. In Brazil alone, it generated approximately R$ 4 billion in sales last year.
