Executive staying in New York and reporting directly to global CCO Debbi Vandeven
Rafael Pitanguy was promoted to deputy global CCO of VMLY&R, and based in New York. In the newly created role, he will work directly with global CCO Debbi Vandeven and one of his main responsibilities will be to lead creation for the Coca-Cola account.
At the same time, as informed by the agency, Pitanguy is in charge of the creation and production areas of the Brazilian unit, working with clients such as Vivo, Via, Colgate, Dell and Visa, now in partnership with Sleyman Khodor, who was previously executive director of creation and has just been promoted to coCCO in the country.
In this new moment, he will expand the exchange of ideas between the network and the country, further oxygenating deliveries to our customers with international trends and insights. At the agency since 2016, Rafael Pitanguy graduated from PUC/Rio in Publicity and Propaganda, and from UERJ in Letters and Literature. He held the creative vice-presidency for Africa, worked at TBWA and Fischer in Portugal.
