The center provides real-time data on presidential candidates, parties and the main doubts of Brazilians about the electoral process.
Google launched a page entirely dedicated to search trends about this year’s elections in Brazil, this Friday (26th).
The Central Google Trends – Eleções 2022 gathers insights and real-time data on the electoral dispute and on the presidential candidates. In addition, it will be possible to download the data that make up the views available on the page.
In order to provide a clearer view of the engagement generated by the Presidency candidates in the Search, the center shows a comparative panel with the rate of queries by each candidate in the last seven days and, by clicking on the icon for each of them, directs to a page dedicated to the candidate, with specific information such as: variation of interest over time, the level of interest divided by Brazilian states, the main questions people ask about candidates and the main related terms.
Every day, millions of people use Google search to seek quality information about the political process. This set of information makes it possible to point out trends and show the behavior of Brazilians who use Google to obtain information during the electoral period, opening a new dimension of understanding of these elections, highlighted Marco Tlio Pires, coordinator of the Google News Lab in Brazil.
The page also lets people know what Brazilians are asking about polls, campaigns and proposals, as well as questions about how to vote and other topics related to the electoral process.
Furthermore, whoever accesses the page will be able to check what Brazilians are asking about electoral surveys, campaigns and proposals, as well as questions about how to vote and other topics related to the electoral process.
During the election campaign, Google Trends will also publish weekly newsletters with the main search trends about the elections in Brazil.
