With in loco and multiplatform coverage, the broadcaster has chosen its team of celebrities to broadcast the festival
For Rock in Rio 2022, Globo is betting on a multiplatform project. Combining open TV, subscription and streaming channels, the station will also have an on-site booth overlooking the World Stage, which will host names such as Iron Maden, Guns N’ Roses, Justin Bieber and many others.
Based on the Tudo Nosso de novo concept, Multishow and Canal Bis will be responsible for broadcasting live on TV from the stages and backstage of the event, in addition to exclusive content on YouTube, the channels’ website and social networks.
On Globoplay, the public will be able to watch the simultaneous transmission of Multishow for non-subscribers logged into the platform and Canal Bis for subscribers of the package + Canals ao Vivo. Meanwhile, TV Globo will show a compilation of the festival’s best moments during the program.
The festival will also have full coverage by Gshow, G1 and Globo.com. The Rock in Rio broadcast will be produced by Karina Ajuz, artistic direction by Pedro Secchin and genre direction by Raoni Carneiro.
For the broadcast, the station selected Marcos Mion, Didi Wagner, Didi Effe, Ded Teicher, Bielo Pereira, Kenya Sade, Ana Clara, Malena, Thais Barja, Jonathan Azevedo, Guilherme Guedes, Laura Vicente, China and Jimmy London.
Direct from a glass studio set up in the middle of the City of Rock, the presenters will show all the shows, backstage and exclusive interviews with the artists.
On YouTube, the Humor Multishow channel will be live every day with a Mesacast led by Ana Clara and Blogueirinha, where they will promote dynamics with guests. In the program, they will have the help of two correspondents, Dan Mendes and Thamirys Borsan, to talk to the festival audience.
Msica Multishow will show interviews made by the presenters with the festival’s artists and VOD content, such as parodies, lists and the Supernova minidoc, a series of videos that explore the details of the Supernova stage. The broadcaster’s social networks will be responsible for showing the backstage of the broadcasts.
