There were few surprises at the 2022 Emmys. I think it was just the best supporting award for Sheryl Lee Ralph, who, by the way, gave a show in her speech, singing off the cuff. Otherwise, everything was as expected. The White Lotus dominated the limited series awards, Ted Lasso, the comedy ones. And still Succession and Zendaya among the dramas. In fact, the latter became the youngest drama actress to win two Emmys for a drama series. And Julia Garner also created her own brand. For the third time, she was awarded for her supporting role in Ozark.
I thought this year the party was beautiful. I liked the idea of the center stage. And the display of scenes around the entire room. But it all seemed very mechanical and without much emotion. The presence of Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni at least still had a little fun! but it was a shame to see veterans like Laura Linney and Bob Odenkirk, who competed for the last few seasons of Ozark e Better Call Saul, ended up leaving empty-handed. my favorite series Only Murders in the Building, also took nothing. And I honestly still don’t understand this love that everyone has for Round 6 e The White Lotus. Haha!
