With the sponsorship of Nossa Arena, the bank seeks to contribute to the creation of new spaces where women feel safe
Banco Bmg officially sponsors Nossa Arena, a space dedicated exclusively for women to train and play sports, in So Paulo.
With the sponsorship that has no set date to end, Bmg aims to contribute to the creation of new spaces where women feel safe to perform physical activities.
We are very happy to be one of Nossa Arena’s partner companies. It is not only a privilege to be together in this project, which has such an important social function, but the sponsorship is also aligned with the Bank’s history, with our banners and with the ESG agenda defined for this and the coming years, says Ana Karina Bortoni Dias, CEO of Bmg.
During the press conference held this Monday (12), the institution stated that it is planning to activate the sponsorship with actions involving Bmg’s partner football clubs, such as Corinthians, Vasco, Cear and Atltico-MG.
The event was attended by women’s sports personalities, such as Milene Domingues, commentator for Band and former player; Tatiele Silveira, Brazilian champion coach in 2019 and elected the best coach in the country; Rosana Augusto, coach of Redbull Bragantino and former Olympic champion. Thais Picarte, former athlete and current coordinator of women’s football at the Paulista Football Federation and Bia Vaz, technical assistant for the Brazilian Football Team.
In addition, the ceremony featured a sample of urban art, with the guests ending up with female-themed graffiti created by the visual artist, illustrator and educator, Soberana Ziza, from the cultural collective OcupARTE.
Safe spaces are essential to make women’s sports practice viable and widespread. Daily we lose athletes who could be competing and taking our country’s name to the world due to lack of access, priority and security, so dedicated places like Nossa Arena and support from companies like Bmg are essential, said Jlia Vergueiro , founder of Nossa Arena and CEO of Pelado Real FC.
Nossa Arena is located in Barra Funda and has soccer fields, football, beach tennis, beach volleyball and American football, as well as space for Yoga and meditation. In addition to Bmg, the space is sponsored by Nike and Vivo.
