Ubisoft has just released a free update for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Content includes new in-game activity, completion of the Tombs of the Fallen arc, and a feature called Rune Forge. To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft also released special rewards for all players in the franchise that has sold over 200 million copies worldwide and has become one of the most important in the video game industry.
Other free content will come to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in October with the Oskoreia Festival and through the end of the year with The Last Chapter arc. In addition, starting today, users can enjoy artwork that artists around the world are creating as part of the franchise’s celebrations and which are part of an exclusive digital art exhibit available on the Assassin’s Creed website.
The new free content coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla today are:
- A Rune Forge It is available to be built in a player’s settlement once it has been upgraded to Level 4. With the forge, players can turn their current gear perks into new runes in exchange for silver*.
- Players can play the final part of Tombs of the Fallen. To venture into this last part, you must find your way through three mysterious tombs equipped with ancient traps and complex puzzles. Only the most dedicated players will discover the buried secrets of an ancient civilization. Scattered across England, enigmatic tombs are available from the moment players unlock Ravensthorpe, their settlement.
- Special rewards via Ubisoft Connect. Players can take advantage of the AC15 pack to paint their character’s skin with a set of tattoos.
During the Oskoreia Festival, which will run from October 20th to November 10th, players will participate in the Wild Hunt, defending their settlement from harmful spirits and proving the strength of Clan Raven. The event will offer activities, quests and a wide variety of new rewards. Later this year, new content will be released, including the story of The Last Chapter, the last chapter of the game.
Since the launch of the first Assassin’s Creed in 2007, the franchise has sold over 200 million copies worldwide and has become one of the most important brands in the video game industry. Recognized for having some of the richest and most captivating stories in the industry, Assassin’s Creed transcends video games, branching out into various other entertainment mediums. As part of the Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary celebration, talented artists from around the world shared their visions of the iconic franchise by creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art.
Among the artists of this action is the Brazilian illustrator Butcher Billy, who has had prominent participation in the entertainment industry, such as in the highly successful series Black Mirror, as well as works for major market players, such as Netflix and the New York Times.
