Creative founded the agency in 1982, alongside David Kennedy
Dan Wieden, co-founder of Wieden+Kennedy, died last week. Wieden, one of the most recognized creatives on the market, started W+K, alongside David Kennedy, in 1982, after the duo left McCann-Erickson in Portland.
It was in their hands, at W+K, that Nike became one of the international powers. One of the main campaigns, ‘Just Do It’ debuted in 1987 as a way to tie together various Nike advertisements.
In Brazil, the agency has been operating since 2010.
Wieden’s death came almost a year after Kennedy’s death.
