The shirts used by Timão players in the victory over Cuiabá, last Saturday (10/1), brought something different and special: a patch in honor of the 25th anniversary of the AACD Telethon Campaign. And eleven of them are available for bidding in the social auction organized in partnership with Play For a Cause – a company that uses sports and entertainment as a tool for social transformation. The action runs until 10/20, and the initial bid is R$ 750. Interested parties should access the Play For a Cause website.
The net amount raised from the auction will be transferred to the AACD, a non-profit organization focused on guaranteeing excellent medical-therapeutic assistance in orthopedics and rehabilitation. The Institution serves people of all ages, receiving patients through the Unified Health System (SUS), health plans and private.
For André Georges, CEO and founder of Play For a Cause, this action unites two of the biggest brands in their segments. He states: “It is a privilege for Play For a Cause to enable the partnership between a giant Brazilian football brand, such as Corinthians, and the AACD Teleton Campaign, which for 25 years has changed the lives of thousands of people. I’m sure a bunch of crazy people will get involved to make this auction a success.”
Play For a Cause, created in 2018, is a company that makes sport and entertainment a tool for social transformation. Its main objective is to connect fans with unique items or experiences, generating resources to support institutions and projects of social and educational impact throughout Brazil. Play For a Cause has already allocated more than BRL 1 million to 86 institutions located in 18 states, impacting the lives of 20,000 people.
