The award jury also elected lvaro Rodrigues, from Made Rio, as Publicist of the Year
The WMcCann unit in Rio de Janeiro was elected as Agency of the Year by the Rio 2022 Columnists Award, which was held in conjunction with the Rio de Janeiro Creative Club. The WMccann Rio distinction takes place for the third consecutive time.
Led by the executive Marcio Borges, it counted three Grand Prix with pieces created for Americanas, as reported by journalist Marcio Ehrlich, the award’s coordinator. The agency had five more gold medals, three silver and two bronze, in addition to six other pieces in the shortlist. WMcCann Rio scored 173 points.
Made Rio, with 102 points, was in second place. In addition to his creative performance, the agency saw CEO lvaro Rodrigues distinguished by the jury with the title of Publicist of the Year.
Artplan (nine outstanding works and 51 points) was third; a Field (five works with 43 points) in fourth; and Binder (eight works with 36 points), in fifth place.
The jury met last weekend in Rio and was chaired by Marcio Ehrlich with the participation of: Adriane Buarque de Holanda (ESPM-RJ), Bernardo Annechino (Grito.cc), Beto Galindo (Enzymes in Action), Bruno Pinaud (Brick), Gabriel Correa e Castro (Viralata), Marcelus Viana (Grupo Sal), Renata Suter (Janela Publicitria) and Toninho Lima (Next). They analyzed the works chosen as finalists by a jury of more than 40 professionals from Rio de Janeiro, awarding eight Grand Prizes, 21 Gold, 27 Silver and 30 Bronze medals.
