Together with Banco do Brasil, the organization’s women’s teams will receive an average salary increase of 300%
W7M Esports and Banco do Brasil announced another novelty to encourage the female scenario. Starting in October, all salaries of the female line-ups of W7M Esports will have an average increase of 300%, equaling the average salary received by male players in each modality.
We won several titles, both in women’s and men’s. And, with so many line-ups and capable athletes, we thought about what to do to show that at W7M it doesn’t matter what your gender, what’s worth wearing here and giving life in each battle. This is another step towards promoting fairness in the scenario and increasingly valuing women who are passionate about esports, said Felipe Funari, founder and director of operations at W7M Esports.
Each team in the organization will receive a raise according to the modality entered, and may have a variation of values according to the game. The salary base used to define the costs of each team was based on a survey carried out by the banking institution and W7M in equity to what is paid by tier 1 organizations in the national scenario.
Since we closed the sponsorship with W7M Esports, we understood a mission as our objective: to further foster the female scenario and promote actions that were really relevant, said Tadeu Figueir, BB’s marketing executive.
