The objective of the campaign is to publicize the importance of monitoring the motor development of small children.
Biogen launched the second phase of the Rare Can Also Happen campaign earlier this year, and now the characters in the bedtime story collection Stories to Live by have come to life and transformed into an animated educational series.
The objective of the campaign is to publicize the importance of monitoring the motor development of the little ones and identifying, in an early way, signs and symptoms that may be indicative of numerous diseases, one of them spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), which is a neuromuscular disease that manifests itself very differently in each individual.
To celebrate the month of children and reinforce the importance of paying attention to babies, the last video of the series was released, entitled Um Dia No Parque, where four characters from the previous animations – Zeca, Cora, Sara and Chuchu – come together for an adventure end filled with important information about some of the driving development milestones.
Along with Um Dia No Parque, the previous animations Zeca Vai Deitar e Rolar, Cora, A Surfista Voadora and Momento Sidereal are also available on the Juntos Pela AME hotsite, where you can find content about motor milestones, AME and its context in the country, tools to monitor and care for children and read testimonials from different sides of the same story. The collection of flipbooks from the first phase of Stories to Live is also available on the website.
Keeping up with a baby’s routine is not an easy task, it requires a lot of care and extra attention, which is why this campaign is so fundamental. Since 2020, we have been working in an increasingly comprehensive and diversified way with the campaign to make the population aware of the importance of paying attention to motor milestones, the issue of pre-symptomatic diagnosis in SMA and the relevance of looking beyond the disease and realizing the every person needs, said Carolina Cavanha, senior manager of corporate affairs at Biogen Brasil.
