The initiative seeks to provide more instruments to small businesses with a view to expanding companies and gaining competitiveness
Marisa joined Sebrae (Brazilian Service of Support to Micro and Small Enterprises) to subsidize the cost of the micro and small enterprise training program by 90%.
The initiative, which will last for 18 months, seeks to provide more instruments to small businesses with a view to expanding companies and gaining competitiveness. For this acceleration program, 50 companies will be selected, with priority given to women entrepreneurs. In this phase, entrepreneurs from Cear, Pernambuco and Santa Catarina will be covered.
Five main points will be developed during the program: competitiveness, profitability, innovation, market expansion and sustainable development.
We understand the driving role of women within our segment. So, we are very clear that, with a proposal of effective empowerment, it is possible to have better policies, not only of management and governance, but also more sustainable, fairer, more inclusive policies for an entire production chain, said Anny Tonet Coordinator of Sebrae Nacional fashion.
Through consulting, courses, workshops, events, conversation circles, diagnoses, practical communities and lectures, entrepreneurs will have access to individual analyzes of their businesses, in order to receive the best solutions applied to their difficulties in practice. In addition, they will also learn about data collection and recording, production process, people, team, engagement, quality and continuous improvement, sustainable thinking, financial management, and also empowerment and purpose.
The activities also include leadership coaching, executive mission, seminars, communication materials and chats with Marisa’s board of directors. Due to the almost full subsidy, the individual cost for selected micro and small entrepreneurs will be R$ 1,600.00.
This partnership with Sebrae to train suppliers in the chain is a project that is part of the sustainability strategy within the responsible purchasing pillar, an internal action that ensures that we have suppliers that not only comply with current legislation, but also increasingly incorporate good practices in their production and grow economically generating more jobs. For us, it is very important to provide a solid base for these professionals and bring them closer to us and our business, said Mariana Fernandez, divisional manager of Global Sourcing at Marisa.
Marisa’s action in partnership with Sebrae reinforces the Company’s commitment to the pillar of sustainability and progress with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goal, defined by the UN).
