Study showed the preferred smartphone brands, music apps, services, among others
A survey carried out by the startup Partyou revealed the consumption habits of Brazilian university students in relation to technological services. The most consumed smartphone and notebook brands are, respectively, Apple (44%) and Dell and Acer (both with 24%).
Samsung (29%) and Xiaomi (14%) brands for cell phones, and Lenovo (15%) and Samsung (11%) for notebooks also appear in the startup’s survey. As for the operating system, 56% of respondents said they use Android, while 44% of them use the iOS system.
The survey also showed that in the list of most downloaded and used service apps are iFood (70%), Shopee (46%), Mercado Livre (31%), Americanas (23%), Magazine Luiza (18%) and Clickbus ( 13%).
Regarding music and video streaming, Spotify (84%) and Netflix (93%) appear. Other streams were also mentioned in the survey, such as: YouTube (11%) and Deezer (10%) for audio reproduction; and Amazon Prime Video (57%), Disney+ (42%) and HBO Max (34%) for video playback.
Finally, the study indicated that, in the area of telephony, the operators most used by Brazilian universities are Vivo (41%), TIM (30%), Claro (21%) and Oi (5%). Regarding the type of plan used, university students stated that prepaid, Family and Control services are the most purchased, with 33%, 31% and 22% of the responses, respectively.
