According to the brand, the place was chosen because of the space, since the attraction this year will have interaction with the public
Coca-Cola FEMSA, sponsor of the Ibirapuera Christmas tree, in So Paulo, will change the traditional location, Ibirapuera Park, to another park, Villa-Lobos, in the west of the capital.
According to the brand, the location chosen for this year has the necessary structure to receive ‘the innovation of the 2022 tree’, which will have a space for interaction with the public.
The Coca-Cola initiative, which has a partnership with the Municipality of So Paulo, will be 52 meters high by 22.2m in diameter, with a bright star at the top. The decoration, as the brand informed, refers to Christmas roots and traditions.
In the last two years, the trees were mounted on the Estaiada bridge, also in the south of So Paulo, in order to avoid agglomerations due to the pandemic at that time.
The Christmas tree will be inaugurated on the 27th of November, starting at 19:00.

In an interview this Wednesday morning (26) to Bandnews SP, on Bandnews FM, the mayor of So Paulo stated that he had already asked SPTuris to provide a Christmas tree for the park in the south of the capital.
According to the São Paulo executive, the tree will be assembled even without a sponsor.
I’m already asking SPTuris so that we can have our tree in Ibirapuera. This is my determination, because it is traditional to have the tree there in Ibirapuera”, he said. Coca-Cola FEMSA Brasil clarifies that, in 2020 and 2021, the traditional Christmas tree offered in the city of So Paulo was mounted on the Estaiada Bridge to avoid agglomerations during the pandemic.
This year, marked by the improvement of the pandemic scenario and with the population vaccinated, we decided to return to a place with broad access to the population of the city of So Paulo, seeking to regain greater proximity between the public and the tree.
In the search for the new location, the company evaluated several options, including the Ibirapuera region, which has already received the project in the past. After studying all the alternatives, taking into account the format of the 2022 project, the company chose to assemble the tree in Parque Villa-Lobos.
The location chosen for this year has the necessary structure to receive the innovation of the 2022 tree, which will be the first with a space for interaction with the public. As in other years, the project is the result of a partnership between Coca-Cola Femsa and the City Hall and forms part of the city’s official calendar.
The opening will be on November 27, at 7 pm. The structure will be 52 meters high by 22.2m in diameter, with a bright star on top and decoration that will refer to Christmas roots and traditions..
