At the pace of the World Cup, the National Seminar on ICT for Public Management (SECOP) announces its 49th edition in a different place – the Estádio Athletico Paranaense, in Curitiba. With the theme “Government and Technology with a Focus on Citizens”, the largest public ICT event promises to bring together more than two thousand delegates from all over Brazil between the 24th and 25th of November. Representatives of the ICT sector from the federal, state and municipal spheres will participate in the meeting to discuss technology in the service provided to citizens.
The intention is to improve the quality of service with the advancement of technological resources. For the president of the Brazilian Association of State Entities for Information and Communication Technology (ABEP-TIC), Leandro Victorino de Moura, the main focus of SECOP is the exchange of experiences and learning to improve delivery to the population. “We talk a lot about new and disruptive technologies, in terms that the citizen does not even know, such as blockchain e machine learning. Therefore, our idea is to focus on society. The important thing is that services like these reach Brazilians in a simple and agile way. Without reaching this audience, it makes no sense to talk about technology,” he says.
For this year, the goal is to increase the SECOP audience by almost three times. The expectation is that two thousand people will gather at the Joaquim Américo Guimarães Stadium, popularly known as Arena da Baixada, one of the most modern in Brazil, belonging to Athletico Paranaense. Among the attractions already announced is the opening lecture with Allan Costa, nationally recognized speaker and activist for the advancement of digital transformation.
In about 50 lectures, divided into five simultaneous stages, executives from the private and government markets bring knowledge, experiences in successful cases and technical and strategic information to the public at the event.
In the environment of the Business Fair, the event brings as exhibitors Brazilian and international companies from all aspects of technology.
There are about 60 booths set up at the Athletico stadium of public and private institutions that operate in the sector, such as Telebrás and Dataprev. Focusing on the exchange of experiences and knowledge, SECOP will also have up to 130 rounds of campfires, where, in groups of 30 people sitting in a circle, thematic discussions about the reality of Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Connectivity, IT Infrastructure, Digital Citizen Experience, Management, Innovation and Analytics.
