APRO’s internationalization platform will do actions in the three days of the festival
FilmBrazil is holding, between today (8) and Thursday (10), its first internationalization action by APRO (Brazilian Association of Audiovisual Works), in partnership with ApexBrasil, after two years of restriction due to Covid -19.
The action, which takes place at the Ciclope Festival in Berlin, Germany, wants to expand its relationship with the international market and support the presence of nine Brazilian production companies at the event DaHouse, Dirty Work, Domo, Le Cube, Lobo, O2 Filmes, Ocean Films, Stink Films and Vector Zero.
In addition to participating, being present in panels, lectures and case studies, the platform will also hold a relationship event between associates and market players at Soho House.
In terms of content, FilmBrazil also has an associate in Ciclope’s official program. Douglas Bernardt, director of Stink Films, will speak at “Meet the Director”. The conversation with the director is based on the creative process of this new project, which won a Grand Prix at Ciclope Latino.
Europe represents an important part of our exports. Even with all the adversities, 32% of all volume exported in 2021 (US$ 32.5 million) went to European countries. Being back is extremely important to promote the audiovisual sector and attract new partnerships, said Marianna Souza, executive president of APRO and executive manager of FilmBrazil.
