Honda Motos rescues its 50-year trajectory in Brazil through the web series “Cada Sonho, Uma História”. The production, created by Publicis and produced by Big Bonsai, brings to light stories in the voice of clients, journalists and professionals in the national two-wheel sector.
The material is available on the brand’s official channels on Youtube, in addition to the profiles on Facebook and Instagram. There are five episodes, approximately 6 minutes each.
Pedro Rezende, General Manager of Communication and Brand at Honda, talks about the objective of the strategy to rescue the brand’s history. “The webseries seeks to bring curiosities and stories that many people do not know about the legacy of Honda Motos, over the 50 years we have been present in Brazil. We tell stories from different generations and, among all of them, we were able to perceive how much motorcycles are present in people’s lives and contribute to the mobility of thousands of Brazilians”, he says.
The first episode of the series tells the story behind Honda’s first race outside Japan, which took place in São Paulo in 1954. The next chapter shows the challenges of building the Manaus factory in the 70s and a journey from Manaus to São Paulo aboard the then recently launched CG 125.
The third is dedicated to the legendary CBX 750F, nicknamed the 7Rooster. The production brings together testimonials from fans who lived through this period. The fourth episode brings stories of people who fulfill the dream of democratizing the motorcycle in various aspects of our society.
And, to close the series, the fifth episode reveals the stories behind the Honda test track in Manaus, and how this testing ground coexists with 802 hectares of cultivation of endangered species.
Fábio Astolpho, Publicis’ executive creative director, talks about the work developed by the agency. “Honda is a brand that has been part of Brazil’s history over the last 50 years. Its products have participated in the lives of generations of Brazilians and, therefore, we thought of a way to show the company’s main milestones in a light, proud way and with many good characters”, he explains.
