O Duolingothe most popular language learning platform and the most downloaded educational app in the world, announces that it is the official sponsor of Qatar – but not what you’re thinking!
Em “The Other Qatar”a Brazilian campaign that has gone global, the app’s famous little green owl is presented as the new mascot of Qatar FC, an amateur soccer team from Itaguaí, RJ, and that literally everyone can be proud of! Duo is known for being a demanding teacher, demanding lessons from students on a daily basis, and now he will also play the role of coach, in a fun video in which he motivates players as they practice the sport, sign the contract for sponsorship and of course – learn a new language with Duolingo.
In addition to providing new kits for Qatar FC, with this partnership Duolingo will be responsible for renting the soccer field for a year, donating sports equipment such as balls, cones and water bottles to the team, and will offer Super Duolingo subscriptions (premium version of the app that allows for more fluid learning) for the entire team, board and their families. But all this with condition that everyone maintain their offensive – days in a row that students take lessons on the platform – updated.
