The company presented this Friday (11) new resources for the World Cup, which starts on the 20th
With nine days before the ball starts rolling on the lawns of Qatar for the World Cup, Google presented this Friday (11) its new resources in Search to follow all the bids between the teams, with statistics, videos and details about the tournament. In addition, the company also announced a Google Trends hub to track search trends during the championship, trivia and new responses on Google Assistant.
When searching for the World Cup on Google, fans will be able to follow national team news and, by enabling the bell in the upper right corner of the application screen, users will receive the main notifications about the best moments during the games, including alerts in real-time that tell you when matches are heating up.
You can now search for a game and see in-depth stats, graphs and timelines. As many of the matches take place simultaneously, especially in the first phase of the tournament, it will be possible to fix the result of the match live on two Android phones so that you can see and follow it at all times.
Another novelty also promises to help fans follow play by play with statistics before and during the match. This way, fans will be able to see how the match is progressing between the two teams based on important events such as goals, possession and passes or cards, and from that data, show the probability of victory for each team.
Data
Google Trends will also launch a dedicated World Cup data center, bringing together the most popular search trends and questions about the competition. On the page focused on the Brazilian team, it is possible to find the most sought-after questions in the country, as well as the real-time ranking of players and research on confrontations with opponents.
