Campus Party Brasil, considered the greatest technological experience in the internet of things, blockchain, marker culture, education and entrepreneurship in the world, has just announced the first attractions of #CPBR14, such as international and national speakers, programs and content that will move Anhembi , in São Paulo, between the 11th and 15th of November.
Among the main speakers are names like Orkut Buyukkokten, who will talk about the controversy whether or not we will have the return of the social network Orkut. In addition to him, the presence of Bill Reith, neuroscientist, biomedical engineer and the main developer of the “Barata-Robô” project has already been confirmed; Jordan Soles, graduated in artificial intelligence and cognitive sciences at the University of Toronto and one of those responsible for negotiating with Rodeo FX the development of four seasons of the Game of Thrones series, in which the company won three Emmy awards for best special effects; and Sharron McPherson, founding director of the Women in Infrastructure Development & Energy (WINDE) consortium.
Among the national speakers at the Campus Party, Jaqueline Goes, biomedical doctor, doctor in human pathology and Brazilian researcher, who coordinated the team responsible for sequencing the genome of the SARS-CoV-2 virus just 48 hours after confirmation of the first case of covid-19 in Brazil.
And, still among the masterful speakers, is a name that shares the national and international vein of the Campus Party, which is the Post PhD Luso-Brazilian Neuroscientist Prof. doctor Fabiano de Abreu Agrela, considered one of the greatest IQs in the world, member of Mensa International, Intertel and Triple Nine Society, the latter the most restricted in the world.
With a lecture scheduled for the 13th, the neuro promises to address two topics: “Video Game Increases IQ, but it depends on the game as well as screen time” e “Excessive use and/or mode of use of social networks alters the brain and makes it less intelligent.” According to Fabian:
“My lecture is not just to bring knowledge, but it serves as a warning. We are living in an era where reality is distorted, semantic to the effects of the virtual world. I call it ‘the logic of logic itself’, where people create a logic that is emotionally interfered with and that is at odds with true logic. It’s like the study that gained repercussion, proving that video game players have increased IQ. It caused an uproar and increased the number of players. But the study did not say the effects of excess, also the types of games that increase IQ, as well as those that impair behavior, increase anxiety, those that format a violent culture, those that result in logical effort, among other nuances. Because that was not the purpose of the study.”
He also stated that he expects to warn about the formatted culture of social networks and how their excessive use and the way in which it is used interferes with mental health.
