Faber-Castell uses the design to pay homage to historical black personalities in Brazil

The action invited artists to portray history and tell facts about important personalities in national history.

Faber-Castell launched the series “Portraits of Black History” to honor important black historical personalities in Brazil, in the month of Black Consciousness.

The homage, made in partnership with the artists Laura Zaon and Ded, features six videos that bring facts and curiosities about the personalities while they are being drawn. The action is honoring Maria Firmina, Zumbi dos Palmares, Tebas, Antonieta de Barros, Lima Barreto and Aqualtune.

The action is 100% digital and takes place on the brand’s social networks. This initiative is an incentive for us to learn more about our history. We hope to inspire people to discover more black personalities from our ancestry, said Flvia Giordano, director of marketing at Faber-Castell.
