In celebration of the month that marks Black Consciousness Day, Globo launched a campaign to highlight the power of affection, entitled “I am because we are”.
The campaign was designed and developed by the station’s Entertainment and Brand and Communication centre. The film shows events and programs from the different Globo channels and features narration by personalities such as Paulo Vieira, Aline Midlej, Stephanie Ribeiro, Joo Luiz Pedrosa, Kenya Sade, Larissa Luz, Ryancarlos de Oliveira, Jennifer Nascimento, Karine Alves, Paulo Lins, Samuel Minervino, Luiz Teixeira, Lilian Ribeiro, Manoel Soares, Tas Araujo and Maju Coutinho.
The piece portrays the importance of positive references from black people in childhood as a way to enhance their development and shows how the black presence is the realization of the dreams of the ancestors.
The piece will be aired throughout the entire Globo ecosystem, which involves open TV, subscription channels and social networks. The initiative is part of Globo’s strategic plan, which has been expanding its efforts in diversity, as part of the company’s ESG Journey.
